Location: Cameron Hospital Conference Room 1
Description: This American Heart Association class provides basic instruction in First Aid, adult, child, and infant CPR, Automated External Defibrillator, and bloodborne pathogens. The cost is $40.00 per person. You will receive your card via e-mail in approximately one week.

Event: Childbirth Class
Location: Cameron Hospital
Description: Childbirth Preparation Classes are offered for an 8-hour session that meets Saturday's from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. These classes meet at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital. The classes have been developed to provide the expectant mother and partner/coach with a basic understanding of the birth process as well as techniques for comfort and relaxation. Basic newborn care is also included. This class is offered at no charge to families delivering their baby at Cameron and is $20 to those choosing to deliver at another area hospital. Childbirth Preparation Class is recommended to be taken at approximately 30 weeks of pregnancy, so please register for a class that begins about 2-2 1/2 months before your due date.

Description: Breastfeeding Classes are offered every other month as a 1 1/2 hour session. This class is offered at no charge to families delivering their baby at Cameron and $10 for those choosing to deliver at another area hospital.

Event: Safe Sitter
Location: Conference Room 1
Description: This nationally-recognized program was developed by Indianapolis pediatrician Dr. Patricia Keener after a colleague’s toddler choked to death while in the care of an adult sitter who didn’t know what actions to take. Students who complete the Safe Sitter® program gain confidence and learn how, why and where injuries can happen so they can be prevented and learn infant and child CPR and choking rescue. They also learn how a child’s age affects how to care for them, how to prevent problem behavior, how to run their own babysitting business as well as issues of online and cellphone safety. This program is for children aged 11 to 13. The cost is $15.00.

Description: This community wide group is for anyone who is in the position of care giving for a loved one and is being offered free of charge. All ages are welcome to attend.
