Questa Education Foundation

Cameron is proud to partner with Questa Education Foundation to support healthcare students with college expenses and connect them with career opportunities at Cameron. Students will be eligible for up to $5,000 a year for two years in loan funding that can be 100% forgiven when students graduate and accept employment at Cameron Hospital.

Cameron is prioritizing students in the fields of nursing, surgical technology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy; other healthcare majors will also be considered. The program will support at least 10 students a year who are interested in working at Cameron Hospital after graduation. Students must be residents of northeast Indiana, accepted or enrolled in a healthcare program, and within two years of completing their program.

Interested students can learn more and apply for the Cameron program on the Questa Foundation website.

Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA)

In an effort to invest in our healthcare providers, Cameron put in an extensive effort to lay the groundwork for three types of federal designations for Steuben and Allen County.  We are now a recognized Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA). This opens the doors for benefits such as federal and state-funded student loan forgiveness for physicians, advanced practitioners, and nurses.  Along with our healthcare providers, Cameron Hospital is committed to the health and well-being of our community with the hopes that through this recruitment and retention initiative, we can boost access to healthcare in our county.
