Cameron Launches Online Pre-Registration

With the busy schedules that most people have to follow these days, Cameron Hospital is now making it easier than ever to register for a procedure even before walking through the doors of the hospital. Online Pre-Registration now eliminates having to take a number and wait to be registered at the outpatient area.

By simply going online to www.cameronmch.com and clicking on the blue “Pre-Registration” button on the left side of the screen, a patient can complete the form in a matter of minutes from the comfort of their home, at a time that is convenient for them. The one-page form is easy to complete, with simple instructions and fields to fill in. After completion, the patient clicks on the “Submit” button, and the Cameron Hospital Business Office will process the information once it is received.

Whenever possible, the form should be completed and submitted online 72 or more hours prior to the anticipated hospital arrival, with a minimum of 24 hours prior to the hospital visit. The submitted pre-registration is treated as private, confidential information, to be viewed only by staff who need to process it. Should there be any discrepancies the patient will either be called, or the information will be updated during express check-in.
Upon arrival at Cameron the day of the procedure, the patient will go directly to the Express Check-In office, located in the main lobby. They will need to bring a current form of identification (such as a driver’s license), the physician’s order for the procedure, and their insurance information. They will be asked to complete a consent form, and then will proceed to the appropriate department to receive service.

For about the past two years, Cameron Hospital has been providing pre-registration over the telephone for scheduled procedures. Patients have been called two to three days in advance of their hospital visit, with registrars taking information and completing the necessary paperwork over the phone. Online pre-registration can be used for both scheduled and unscheduled services.
