Gregory Burns Named as Cameron Hospital President/CEO


The board of directors of Cameron Hospital has named a new chief executive officer. Gregory T. Burns will join Cameron, effective February 2nd,as its new president/CEO. Mr. Burns will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the hospital, ensuring the provision of consistently high levels of quality care and customer service throughout the organization.

Mr. Burns brings almost thirty years of executive healthcare experience to the role. He was most recently CEO of Baldwin Area Medical Center in Baldwin, Wisconsin. Prior to that he held leadership positions in Wisconsin with Ministry Health Care in Milwaukee, including serving as a member of the top leadership team that planned, designed and opened Weston Regional Medical Center in Weston, Wisconsin. He also served seven years as administrator for St. Joseph’s Community Hospital in West Bend, Wisconsin.

Mr. Burns received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and a Master of Arts in Business-Health Services Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He and his wife, Kathleen, will be relocating to Steuben County. They have four children: Michael, who will receive his MBA from St. Thomas University, Minneapolis in spring 2009; Steven, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, now doing natural resources work in Iowa; Laura, who will receive her undergraduate degree in Spanish, International Studies and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in spring 2009; and Caitlin, a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, majoring in Elementary Education.
