The Cameron Hospital Board of Directors is composed of 12 community members that are dedicated to the mission of the Hospital. Our team commits to exceptional service and the highest quality, safest care - every patient, every time.
Meet the Board
Dr. Tom Miller, Chair
Dr. Tom Miller serves as the current chair on the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. Dr. Miller completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and his graduate degree at IU Medical School. Dr. Miller owns his physician practice located in Angola, and he is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians and Indiana State Medical Association.
Dr. Miller is a volunteer at the Faith Community Health Clinic, the past president of Steuben County Literacy Coalition and the past-district president of the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians.
Jennifer Danic, Vice-Chair
Jennifer Danic currently serves as the vice-chair of the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors and serves on the PR/Marketing Committee. Jennifer has served as the President & C.E.O. of the Steuben County Community Foundation since 2011, and she has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2011.
Jennifer was born at Cameron Hospital, birthed two children at Cameron Hospital and plans to die at Cameron Hospital-in the far away future of course. She has been married to her college sweetheart, David, for 10 years. Together they have two beautiful sons just 17 months apart. Jesse is 2 and Ryan is 8 months old.
Deborah McHenry, Secretary
Deborah McHenry serves as a member of the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. She is employed by Trine University, and has been in the industry for 20 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University. She is a Co-Chair and moderator for the Angola Women's Business Forum, and has served on the YMCA of Steuben County Board of Directors as well as the United Way board and the Carnegie Public Library Board of Directors.
Deborah enjoys attending various community events as well as visiting with friends and reading to children in elementary school.
Barbara Short, Treasurer
Barbara Short serves as the current treasurer on the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. Barbara is retired from Lincoln Financial group where she worked for 18 years as an AVP & Due Diligence Office where she was responsible for the oversight of investment managers. Barbara is now employed with her family business, D.A.S., where they specialize in the repair and manufacture of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. She is a member of the CFA Institute, National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Angola Area Chamber of Commerce.
In her spare time, Barbara enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, boating and riding ATVs.
Dr. Jonathan Alley
Dr. Jonathan Alley, D.O. serves as a member of the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors, and is a private family physician in Angola. Dr. Alley completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his graduate degree from Michigan State University. He is a member of the Indiana State Medical Soceity, American Association of Physicians and Surgeons, Christian Medical and Dental Associations, American Board of Family Medicine and he is board certified.
Dr. Alley is married to his wonderful wife, Michelle, and together they have two children. He is the music leader at his local church and enjoys providing full range family medicine to his patients.
Chuck Nedele serves as a member of the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. Chuck is a partner at Croxton & Roe Insurance, and has been in the business for 45 years, and he holds a certification as an Insurance Counselor. He is involved with First Federal Savings Bank, the YMCA of Steuben County and the Steuben County Community Foundation.
Marla Toigo serves as a member of the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. Marla is employed with Direct Fitness Solutions, and has served in the non-profit sector for 12 years. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA). Marla also serves on the Steuben County Community Foundation board of directors and has been served on the committee that plans the Cameron Benefit Ball.
Marla is married to Dan Toigo, and together they have two children, Madison, who is 13, and Braden, who is 9. Marla and her family have resided in the community for over 17 years.
Terry Vanette serves as a member of the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. Terry is employed with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance and has been serving Steuben County for over 40 years. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Terry is a graduate of the Purdue University Life Insurance Marketing Institute, and received his Charted Life Underwriter degree from American College. He is the past-president of the Orland Chamber of Commerce and the founder and past-president of the Pokagon Longrifles.
Terry has been married to his wife Karen for 46 years, and together they have two sons and four grandchildren.
Dr. Larry Watkins
Dave Goodwin is currently a board member on the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. Dave is a retired superintendent from the MSD Steuben County Schools, and spent 40 years in public education in Indiana. He received his undergraduate degree from Ball State University, his master's degree from Saint Francis University and his doctorate degree from Ball State University. While he was employed, Dave was a member of the American Association of School Administrators, Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents, Indiana Association of School business Officials, and is now a member of the Indiana Hospital Association. In his spare time, he serves as a board member for the Steuben County Community Foundation Board of Directors and a member of the Steuben County Community Foundation Grants committee.
Dave is a lifelong resident of Steuben County, and his entire career has been in public education. He believes community involvement is crucial, having been involved several local boards, such as Humane Society of Steuben County Board of Directors, Angola Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the YMCA of Steuben county Board of Directors, to name a few.
Jonathan Cress serves as a member of the Cameron Hospital Board of Directors. He has been employed with Cress Law Group PC for 12 years, and is a member of the American Bar Association, Indiana Bar Association and the Steuben County Bar Association. In his spare time, Jonathan volunteers with the Legal Pro Bono Program, and serves on the Steuben County Tourism Board of Directors, the Young Professionals Network and the Angola Chamber of Commerce.
